Eighteen years on roofs, a company built in 2023, and a straightforward way of working: the person who quotes your job is the person on the roof.
IKON Roofing is run by Jordan Pryce, who has spent 18 years working on roofs across Kent and South East London. He started as a roofing operative, worked for years as a subcontractor, and went on to run sites as a site manager — planning sequences, managing trades, and being accountable for whether a roof was right or not.
Setting up IKON Roofing Ltd in 2023 was the natural next step. After running other people's jobs for long enough, the logical move was to run his own — same standards, same detailing, but with direct accountability to the homeowner rather than through three layers of main contractor.
Jordan holds an NVQ Level 2 in Roofing and a CSCS card. He still works on the roofs himself. That's not a marketing line — it's how the company is structured.
Three things define how IKON operates, and they're all consequences of the same decision:
Roofing is a trade where the difference between a good job and a bad one is invisible for about five years. Most of what matters is underneath — falls, ventilation, vapour control, fixing specification, how a detail is terminated at an abutment.
Every installation is designed to meet or exceed British Standards. On flat roofs we use the Fix-R 20 torch-on system, single ply membrane, or GRP depending on the roof rather than on what's in the van. Leadwork is carried out to Lead Sheet Association standards in codes 4 and 5 — not mastic, not code 3 offcuts. Ridges and hips are mechanically fixed with dry systems where appropriate rather than bedded in mortar that cracks out within a decade.
It costs more to build a roof this way. It also means we can put a 15-year guarantee behind it without worrying about it.
Every installation carries three layers of cover:
The third one is the one that matters most and the one most roofers don't offer. A workmanship guarantee is only worth anything if the company is still trading when you need it. Here's how an IBG actually works. Roof repairs carry a 5-year guarantee.
IKON is deliberately small. Jordan runs the roofing side and is on site for every project. Demi handles the office — quotes, scheduling, invoices, and answering the phone when Jordan is on a roof and can't. If you call during the day and get a call back rather than a ring-out, that's why.
We would rather turn work away than take on more than we can do properly. If we can't get to you for three weeks, we'll tell you that instead of booking you in and letting it slip.
We're based in Snodland, Kent, and work across Kent, Medway and South East London. That includes Sidcup, Orpington, Bromley, Chislehurst, Swanley, Dartford, Gravesend, Medway, Rochester, Chatham, Sevenoaks, Lewisham, Greenwich, Blackheath and Eltham.
If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask. We'll give you a straight answer rather than quoting for a job we can't service properly.
You should not take a roofer's word for any of this. Here's what you can verify independently:
Photographs of completed jobs are on our portfolio page, and there are detailed write-ups of a conservation area re-roof in Stansted and an extension roof in Croydon if you want to see how a job actually runs from start to finish.
If you'd rather just get someone out to look at your roof, inspections are free when we're quoting.
No call centre, no sales rep. You speak to the person who'll be on your roof.
